Description

Written for the ORIANA Women’s Choir, this four-part treble work is accompanied by bass drum, triangle, ching-chok, and metal wind chimes.  The orchestra drum represents the beating of the human heart.  The overlapping solos portray the melody as the song of life goes through many stages.  As the song continues, the music emulates how life can be complicated, involved, and busy.  We must take the time to savor each moment and enjoy life.  The  song concludes with the message “Let us use all of our love and art to celebrate the song of those who have gone before.  We must be quicker than the rapid departure.”
