Description

Hymne au Soleil by Lili Boulanger (1893-1918) is an optimistic work with powerful Debussy-like parallel chords and assertive motion.  It is somewhat atypical of Ms. Boulanger’s ternty-nine extant complete works which are usually more indirect and full of subtle nuances.  The posthumous publication by the Societe Anonyme des Editions Ricordi, Paris (1918) is the source used for this publication; only a few accidentals have been added to the piano part to make reading easier.
