Description
The Canadian rebellion of 1837 saw the expulsion of many rebels, most of whom went to live in the United States. This song about one of the exiled French Candains became very popular with all French Canadians. This is one of Patriquin’s Trois chansons folkloriques which also includes J’entends le moulin and Les Raftsmen, both published by earthsongs. Also available for SATB (See S-46).
