preferred the tempo markings without the square brackets, and those are suggested here. The Spanish here is
traditional (since they are folk songs of uncertain dates of origin) and pronunciations my differ from present
day Spanish. If a scholar of older Spanish can be located, the adjustments could be made with some authority.
However, these are usually performed with current Spanish pronunciations.
