Description
There are two pieces in this octavo. 1) Lo Lo Re Babu is a choral version of a piece from Paranjoti’s opera The Seventh Nose. As with most of Paranjoti’s work, the melody of the piece drives the harmonic motion. 2) A Konkan Boat Song combines the elements of both European and Indian music.
Both pieces rise from the unique musical traditions of the Konkan, a region of Western India between the Arabian Sea and the Sahyadri Range.
