Two pieces are contained in one octavo: 1. Ziemas Svetki (Winterfest has arrived); this is a Latvian folksong which describes the coming of the steed of Winterfest 2. Balts Sniedzins Snieg – an original carol which describes the joy of riding on the sleigh to church on Christmas Eve (Riding to church on Christmas Eve) – also has a singable English translation.
