Description
Potong Padi is written for an eight part a cappella mixed choir. Based on an old Malay folksong, it portrays a sense of fun and frolic at harvest time in the rice fields. Reaping the harvest is a time of joy and celebration for the farmers. The first part of the song is slow and legato. Then the contrast and the fun begins in the second part.
