cantos de mi tierra (sab)

The simple text of this Bambuco recalls memories of love and creates an atmosphere similar to the Serenade that is so popular in the central region of the country.  In this choral arrangement of Cantos de mi Tierra, the main melody is shared mostly between the baritones and the sopranos and is suitable for young choirs.  It is usually accompanied by a guitar or cuatro (a small 4-stringed guitar) and optionally by a small drum which continues the 6/8 meter throughout the song.
